Ready for Action!

Greetings from the Bering Sea! The ACUSHNET and her crew are poised to direct their focus of maritime law enforcement toward the waters of the Bering during the upcoming weeks.

One crew member who is taking on such challenges is Lawrence Sheetz. He is currently learning the role of a Boarding Officer. The Boarding Officer travels with the Coxwain to other vessels via ACUSHNET's small boats. Once on board the other vessel, the Boarding Officer leads his team through a series of inspections. These inspections ensure that vessels are fit for sea, and are following all rules and regulations. Lawrence hails from Alexandria, VA and is also the Morale Officer on board.
